The Corruptor is not a being. It is the antithesis of creation - the primordial darkness that resisted the gods' shaping of reality. It cannot be killed by normal means. Only the Voidheart Crystal can unmake it.
The Forgotten Seven
The Forgotten Seven guard the threshold. They are not celestials, not demons, not mortals -- they are the first beings, older than the gods. They were here before creation. When the gods shaped the world, the Seven were pushed to the edge -- the threshold between creation and void. They have been guarding it ever since. But the Corruptor has been whispering to them for eons. Some have listened.
Arbaziloth
Arbaziloth the Eldest is the greatest of the Forgotten Seven. It was already old when the gods were young. It guards the final gate -- the gate to the Heart of the Void. The Corruptor has promised it freedom. If Arbaziloth opens the gate, the Corruptor enters creation. Not an avatar. Not a projection. The real thing. Destroy Arbaziloth, and the gate stays closed. But Arbaziloth has never been destroyed. It has never been challenged. Until now.
The Edge of Everything
This is the edge. Beyond this point, there is no creation. No matter, no time, no light, no dark. Just the Void -- the nothing that was before everything. The Corruptor lives there, in the Heart of the Void. It is not a place. It is an absence. And you are going to walk into it. I am the last seraph -- the last celestial who remembers the First Age. I have been waiting here since the gods left. I will guide you to the gate. What happens after... I cannot follow. No celestial can enter the Heart of the Void. Only a mortal can. That has always been the plan.
